Trimming granite counter top for new stove?
We have a 29 inch cut out for our current drop in stove. I want to replace it with a standard 30 inch slide in stove. I know I can remove the base and cut the kick plate, but I am afraid the granite cut out is not the right size. Is it possible to find someone who will come out and cut my 29 inch cut out to the 30 inch cutout width that is not required. They would have to cut from the edge of the counter top to the rear spacer bar (not the back splash). Can it be done? I am having a hard time finding a 29 inch stove and 30 inches would significantly expand my options.
