Cnn financial advisor - ways to save money??? tip 5%??

I unfortunately don't have an answer, but I have the same concern. I had a friend stay with me for the weekend and he had heard this also. I have been searching online now for over an hour and cannot find anything except this written about it. I am not going to give up though. I was told that they advised to drink water and tip 5%. The result of this is that we are going to make less money which means we are going to in turn spend less money-which won't be helping the economy at all.
