Is there really a epidemic in Europe? (particularly Sweden)?

According to articles I am finding, the incidence of perpetrated by Muslim immigrants upon native caucasian young girls and women is dangerously on the rise. The notion, the articles claim, is that these young men feel that European women are "impure" (not wearing head scarves and so on) and that these women deserve to be aulted. Is there any truth to this? I am finding these articles all over the place now. If true, what should be done? I am not trying to be inflammatory. I am just trying to find the truth. Thanks.
