Can a "souped up" WRX wagon still handle offroad terrain decent?

I love sports cars, but I also camp a ton! So instead of getting 2 cars, I was thinking about a WRX wagon. I have always liked them a lot. I was wondering if I could still take a lowered wagon on low profile tires up into the mountains, or would it mess everything up.
