If we repeal the second amendment, will that make the USA more susceptible to a foreign invasion?

I think Americans would fight to the death to protect our country, but if we are not allowed to bear arms, a hostile country would have a much easier time conquering our country if they were allowed to march in with little or no resistance becuase our citizens are not allowed to have guns you can only do so much with kitchen knives. But I may be wrong, as there are many people who think the second amendment should be repealed. Just wondering what everyone else thinks. Thanks.
