Do you think that a hamster that isnt stressed lives longer than a one that is?

if i ever hold my hamster, (which is rare because he does bite) i think he becomes stressed. i only pick him up to put him in his ball, and he is nearly 1 year over his life expectancy which is 2 years at the most and he will be 3 in june, he is still full of beans
